You've probably heard of the 'Garbage patch'- a massive island, made completely out of garbage: floats in the Pacific ocean. The island is built up out of plastics called micro plastics. Since it has started to grow, the huge garbage island is estimated to be the size of Texas, USA! Meanwhile, the same micro plastics have started to form mini garbage patches in our Great lakes.
Do you have any input, or advice on how we might be able to stop the small islands from forming/ if we are doing anything to help decrease the garbage growing? (Or any input on the micro plastics accumulating in Lake Ontario.)
